The Selfish Giant

We worked in groups to produce a script for a scene from ‘The Selfish Giant’ by Oscar Wilde. ‘Every afternoon, as they were coming from school, the children used to go and play in the Giant’s garden.






Year 5 trip to Ilam

Ilam 2Year 5 went on a school trip to Ilam Hall. We really enjoyed walking around Dovedale and climbing up Thorpe Cloud.







On Monday, 27th April 2015 we were very proud to receive our Sunsafe accreditation – making St John Fisher one of the first in Derby to be a Sunsafe school. The charity, set up in memory of the late Colin Bloomfield, will provide school with suncream dispensers and a UV monitor so that the children can learn more about how to stay safe in the sun.

Poetry Competition

Pupils took part in a poetry competition at St Benedict’s. They represented our school really well and made the teachers and their parents very proud.
